CANALLS is proud to announce its participation in the prestigious Open Living Lab Days 2024, taking place from 25-27 September 2024 in Timisoara, Romania.
This year, CANALLS, in collaboration with the CIRAWA, NATAE, and PrAEctiCe Horizon Europe projects, will co-host the workshop titled "Deployment of Living Lab Approaches in Africa for Sustainable Agriculture" on September 26, from 14:00 to 15:30 at the ICAM Institute – The Institute for Advanced Environmental Research.
This collaborative workshop will focus on the implementation of Living Lab methodologies within African agroecosystems, with a particular emphasis on sustainable agriculture. CANALLS, CIRAWA, NATAE, and PrAEctiCe are actively working to create agroecology transition pathways by setting up Living Labs across rural communities in Africa. These Living Labs foster co-creation, community engagement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to address challenges and develop innovative solutions for sustainable food systems.
During the workshop, participants will explore the opportunities and unique challenges of applying the Living Lab model in emerging countries, especially in vulnerable and rural communities. The session aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices among Living Labs in Africa, while also connecting with similar initiatives from other regions.
Join us at Open Living Lab Days 2024 to engage with experts in agroecology and sustainable food systems, and be part of the conversation shaping the future of agriculture in Africa and beyond.
